Mr. Hellman is a member of The Stringham Group and Principal with a Chicago consulting firm specializing
in eBusiness and eGovernment systems development. He has over 30 years experience in the Information
Technology field and has held management and technical positions with Computer Sciences Corporation, Sprint,
Digital Equipment Corporation, and AT&T.
Mr. Hellman has a strong background in communications networks design, computer network security, and
project management. He has designed and implemented complex network systems and technical infrastructures
for many Fortune 500 companies. His unique background, combining experience in telecommunications and
information technology, has allowed him to successfully integrate voice and data networks resulting in
lower network operations cost with increased functionality.
He is frequently called upon to perform network operations assessments to help clients identify problems
in the areas of systems and network management, performance management, change control, disaster recovery
planning, and security management. As a security consultant, he has helped many clients discover and
correct serious security vulnerabilities in their networks. He has gone on to work with these same clients
to write security policies and procedures and implement security measures to reduce the threats posed by
connecting to the Internet.
Mr. Hellman holds a BS in Mathematics from Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana and an MBA from
Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio. As an Adjunct Professor at Indiana University, he developed and
taught courses in Data Communication, Programming, and Computer Technology. He is a member of the Computer
Security Institute (CSI) and the Information Systems Security Association (ISSA).
